JENNIFER FEUCHT ANNOUNCES ELECTION BID
FEUCHT SEEKING OPEN BOARD SEAT ON OLENTANGY LOCAL SCHOOLS BOARD OF EDUCATION
Jennifer Feucht has announced her candidacy for the open seat for the Olentangy Local School District Board of Education. Feucht is a twenty-year resident of Delaware County and resides in Lewis Center with her husband Eric and their children Ashley and Jack.
Feucht, a graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s in journalism, serves as Marketing & Content Creator for ELK Promotions in Sunbury. Feucht has lived a life of service dedicating her time and talents to teaching at Worthington Presbyterian Church, serving on the WPC Board of Deacons, serving as a long-term Boy Scout leader in Lewis Center and participating as a regular parent volunteer within the Olentangy School District.
Feucht’s most meaningful gift of service has been honoring her late son Jarret by providing enrichment activities for Olentangy students. Jarret, an Oak Creek Elementary 1st grader, passed away in 2007 following an auto accident. The Jarret Feucht Memorial Fund, created by the Feucht family, honors Jarret’s legacy of love for the arts and the outdoors. Jarret’s fund supports music, art, and enrichment activities for Olentangy students resulting in countless enrichment activities and the development of learning gardens at three OLSD schools. “The biggest success has been experiencing the smiles on the many faces of OLSD students who have benefitted from these programs,” says Feucht.
Feucht’s twenty-year history of service and her experience as a current OLSD parent uniquely qualify her as an effective leader and creative problem solver for the very real challenges being faced by the Olentangy District. “There is no greater responsibility than advocating on behalf of our students,” says Feucht. Feucht is a strong supporter of district transparency, financial and professional accountability, protection of parental rights and above all, putting students first in all decisions made by district leadership. “Our community deserves open and honest communication. Our taxpayers deserve responsible financial practices and professional accountability. Our parents deserve to be the strongest influence in their child’s educational development. Most of all our students deserve to be put first,” said Feucht. Jennifer Feucht asks for your support with your vote on November 2nd so that she can advocate for students, families and the surrounding OLSD community.
